Chiara Fasani - Violin

Violinist Chiara Fasani traverses musical boundaries with passion and authenticity.  Her classical repertoire covers music from baroque through the twenty-first century, and her musical voice includes improvisation, particularly in the style of jazz.  She has performed throughout Europe, China, and the United States in settings as varied as solo performance, chamber music, conductor-less chamber orchestra, symphony orchestra, and jazz ensembles.

Ms. Fasani is a founding member of both the Halo Ensemble, an international collaborative of emerging artists, and of Time Canvas.  As an orchestral musician she has performed, among others, with the Jura Symphonic Orchestra and the Mannheim Philharmonic, and served as concertmaster for the Basel University Orchestra. In 2012 Ms. Fasani joined the faculty at the Aurora School of Music in Aurora, Ohio.

In her native Switzerland Ms. Fasani received a BM and MM from the Basel University of Music, where she studied with Adelina Oprean and Alexander van Wijnkoop. She currently resides in Cleveland, where she performs extensively with her husband, Joshua Stauffer.
