​Nineteen year-old Kathryn Lowman, from Wheaton, IL, is enrolled in the bachelors of music program at the Cleveland Institute of Music as a viola student of Mark Jackobs.  Ms. Lowman has performed with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, Music Institute of Chicago Academy Chamber Orchestra, and the Baroque Festival Orchestra with whom she soloed at the age of fourteen.  A winner of the Chicago Viola Society competition, Ms. Lowman has performed in master classes with Heidi Castlemen, and members of the Cypress and Emerson string quartets.  In addition to her musical pursuits, she enjoys british literature, travel, and her goldendoodle, Emma.
